Go out, Love, Be
I am Spanish and I moved to the UK in 2000 after completing my Degree in Psychology. Since then, my professional clinical experience and training covers a wide range of mental health problems within a wide variety of clinical settings. I worked for the Depression and Anxiety Service in Exeter and East and Mid Devon for five years and in recent years for the Psychology and Psychotherapy Department in Exeter with survivals of childhood trauma.
My particular interest is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and 'third wave' psychotherapies including Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I take an integrative approach to draw from these different theoretical and practical perspectives in order to better understand problems and to inform effective therapeutic interventions.

Assessment to make a helpful understanding of your problems in the context of your childhood and background. To clarify how the problem developed and what keeps it going. With mutual respect and collaboration I will help you to increase your awareness of your difficulties, to challenge unhelpful beliefs and change unhelpful behaviours.

Very importantly, you can expect the therapy session to be a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate space.
If you decide you do not want to continue with therapy you can stop at any point during the treatment.

More clarity about yourself, renewed self trust and appreciation. New skills to live in the present and have hope for the future.
